I’m excited to share that we’ll be participating in Help Portrait this weekend along with photographers all over the globe. Those of you who really know me know I totally love this sort of thing and that I think its key to stay in touch with the reason you do what you do. I’m looking forward to meeting some awesome people this weekend! A huge thanks to The Danbury Historical Society for letting us use their space, and to Nikki Smith for locating them! WE can still use more help and Hair and Make up Artists who’d like to volunteer are welcome as well please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you would like to help!
This is a movement of both professional and amateur photographers from all backgrounds hoping to make a difference this holiday season.
The goal of is simple: 1. Find someone in need 2. Take their portrait 3. Print their portrait and 4. Deliver their portrait.
HELP PORTRAIT was formed by celebrity photographer Jeremy Cowart as he contemplated using his skills and expertise to give back to those who may not have the opportunity for a professional photo. The idea is that a photographer has the unique ability to help someone smile, laugh and return their dignity- it is a movement, a shift in photography.
